  1. Kay,

These are some very interesting gadgets invented for helping other people when it is needed. Funny on how much we take things for granted and how those gadgets you listed give the people with arthritis a better quality of life and thus better health and wellness. With many of the gadgets needed in the kitchen, I found some foods and drink that are said to help arthritis pain include olive oil, green tea, onions, leeks, tart cherries, brazil nuts, sweet peppers, citrus fruits and other vitamin C-rich foods, fatty fish with omega-3, soy beans, flax seeds and pumpkin seeds. (Foltz-Gray, 2012).

  2. Hi Kay,

I like your post! I think it was a great idea to post these gadgets on your blog. It's amazing the things we can take for granted until we are unable to do them - like the simple every day task of opening a jar. Although that gadget might come in handy for me, I usually fight to open my jars :-)

I came across a few tips for making cooking easier when you have arthritis. The tips are from a chef who has struggled with rheumatoid arhtritis for 25 years. I thought they were very practical and many other people with limitations can also benefit from them. Some tips were
to store pots and pans on wall or ceiling hooks to prevent the need for bending, sit at the table when doing a lot of prep work, and stand on a rubber mat when cooking to prevent back/leg pain (ArthritisToday.Org). It's great that there is access to so much information and resources on the internet. I think it can have a huge impact on the wellbeing of anyone struggling with a chronic condition or illness.
